Any tips on doing weights for golf?

Hello I was hoping to get some tips on on doing weights for golf. Especially on bench press, I am very small, only 110 pounds. I usually do reps of 50-60 pounds but they tire me out. I don’t see how a person bench press for 45 minutes to a hour. Should I bench less weight or do 80 pounds then do less so I can do more reps? Also are there any other exercises reccommended?

Try searching on the web for “golf fitness” Try typing in “beginning weight lifting”

Check your local library for a beginners weight lifting book.

Don’t forget to stretch. Stretching will help your game also.

start with smaller wights and work your way up.

You do more reps for strength at a lighter weight. To build size you use more weight and do less reps. You don’t want to get to bulky for golf so do more reps and less weight. Check out the Men’s Fitness issue with Tiger Woods on the cover. It shows his workout regimen.
