Can you manufacture a low tech golf training device for profit?
I have an idea for a Golf training device that is low tech, but fun and sure to help many improve their ability to drive the ball with strength and accuracy. It can help improve technique faster because unlike compuiterized saimulators this lets the golfer be as natural as they would be on the tee. It can help dads and moms work with their kids in the privacy of their home without worrying about who is watching. Not costly to manufacture, but income potential can be great. With our way of life being bombarded with computers, I think stepping back and doing something a little more retro can strike a cord and get more people active. The thing is that can low tech trainers compete with computerized high tech trainers?

MAKE IT, MOST GOLFERS WILL BUY ANYTHING…
I hate to tell you this but there are a lot of “low tech” golf improvement items on the market today from gloves that help you drive/putt/chip etc., to the clubs that break down when your swing plane is not correct. Of course you can put an new low tech device into the marketplace, you just have to have the wherewithal to do the right steps to enter the market. Do a good business plan, talk to some others in the industry about the potential, if it is a new item you may want to patent it, check on manufacturing costs, distribution systems, etc., and go for it. Of course you can just take a picture of it, describe what it does and put it on eBay that might work.
Good luck
you see those ads on tv for inventors and such? you should call them and see if they can get your idea patented and on the market. its you vest bet to getting the word out on your product and if it’s low tech, low price, then the majority of golfers will be more inclined to purchase it as opposed to buying something hi tech, hi price.
Patent it and market it do some research make sure there is nothing else like it. Then manufacture a few. See if they sell then dive in. Make sure that consumers like it if they don’t do not waste your time
