The swing is a very important part of your golf game and it determines if your scores are going to look good or if you are going to be struggling through the day. Many players ,beginners and pros alike, spend the maximum amount of practice time working on this aspect of the play. Did you know that it is possible to work this on your own without the costs of expensive training? Training devices can be used to perfect your swing technique, and you can practice with them on the course.

The golf impact indicator is one such accessory to help improve the golf swing. This can be used with any of your golf clubs from the kit bag. It is a simple device that is placed on the face of the club, which helps you determine if you are striking the ball at the right angle with the club. Basically, once you play the shot, a mark appears on the indicator to tell you which area of the club head has in fact hit the ball. If you miss the right area of the club, the ball will travel flatter and probably a shorter than desired distance as well. This sweet spot on the club head is that area which has been designed to strike the ball with. It is vital when you are putting.

You could invest in other forms of swing aids as well, some that are a bit on the costlier side and more advanced. You could invest in training devices such as twisted railings that allow your hands to move only in the right paths. A great training aid is a weight that can be slipped on to an iron and here it remains right over the club’s head. The extra weight basically helps strengthen your swing power much like an exercise, and this is a good way to practice before a game of golf.

But do not get the impression that every training device needs to be costly and complicated to use. You could use some of the tips given below to improve your swinging skills with a very easy to use and simple process. This will definitely help you improve on balance, which is a key area you need to work on to improve the swing:

1. Keep a coin on your left foot if you are a right handed layer, or your right foot if you play left handed.
2. Swing the club and see if the coin falls off your foot.
3. If it has flown off, see where it fell.
4. If the coin has slid towards your toe, then it means that you have your foot raised too much during the back swing motion.
5. If the coin has totally fallen off the foot it means you probably completed the shot on your heel.
6. When it hasn’t moved much you have done well, and this simple exercise can be used to see where you are going wrong with the swing.
